About Jess

Jessica is a woman who has never shied away from life’s curveballs.  Raised in a low-income neighborhood in Houston, Texas, she faced challenges that could have easily broken even the toughest souls.  But Jessica?  She’s the queen of bouncing back, with resilience that’s practically her middle name.

At 21, Jessica pulled off what many thought impossible—she graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor’s in International Business.  But she wasn’t done.  Oh no.  She had bigger plans—like taking over the world, or at least heading to Miami to dive into the glitzy world of international law.

Miami wasn’t all mojitos and beach sunsets, though.  Instead, Jessica’s career did a 180 when she landed a job at a Magic Johnson event, catching the attention of the Director of Marketing at Farouk Systems, Inc., the billion-dollar brand behind CHI and BioSilk.  Before long, she was Farouk’s youngest exec, working hand-in-hand with the billionaire himself, managing editor of CHI Magazine, and rubbing elbows with celebs like Jessica Alba and Michael Jackson. Jessica was the force behind some of the brand’s biggest media coverage and Hollywood stardom.  Front-page splashes on the Wall Street Journal?  Check.  Headlining CNN Money and FOX Business?  Absolutely.

When billionaire Farouk Shami ran for governor, guess who was running his Hispanic vote strategy?  That’s right—Jessica.  Her savvy work captured over 87% of the Latino vote in Texas.  Impressed by her brilliance, the Harvard Kennedy School came calling.  She even crossed paths with Justice Sonia Sotomayor.  Talk about being in the right places with the right people.

But life took another twist when Jessica’s brother was diagnosed with stage-four lymphoma.  She hit pause on her corporate climb to become his caregiver, starting TheHispanicBlog.com, a platform amplifying Hispanic voices, which was nominated twice for industry awards.  Six months later, her brother was in remission, and Jessica found herself shaking hands with President Obama.

Jessica wasn’t done yet.  Next stop?  Los Angeles.  The Director of PR at FHI Heat, Jessica worked with NBC, Hollywood heavyweights, and led a nationwide Children’s Cancer awareness campaign with big names like Magic Johnson and Mario Lopez.  Under her guidance, FHI Heat became a regular on hit shows like Extra and collaborating with Ellen’s 12 Days of Giveaways, while teaming up with international stars like One Direction.  She was running Hollywood, and loving it.

Then, 2020 hit.  FHI Heat was sold, Jessica was laid off, and her husband faced a life-altering injury.  In true Jessica style, she took charge—running their real estate, private equity, and beauty distribution businesses while juggling virtual meetings, remote work, and the looming possibility of his leg amputation.  It felt like navigating a whirlwind, but Jessica didn’t just survive—she thrived.  Her husband recovered, and he’s back to running his businesses.

Now, with him healthy and thriving, Jessica is gearing up for her next venture: empowering ambitious women entrepreneurs to break free from perfectionism, self-doubt, and that pesky imposter syndrome.  Her two-phase approach is like your favorite cocktail—refreshing and effective.  She dives deep exploring how childhood experiences have shaped their fabulous (but sometimes flawed) adult behaviors.  Then, in the second phase, she whips up strategic growth tactics that’ll have them unlocking new revenue streams and delegating with confidence and flair.  With her signature blend of determination, sass, and brilliance, Jessica is back, bolder than ever, ready to disrupt the narrative and help women everywhere rise to their full potential.
